Hi, Someone told me today that a GTS does not have a carb. Is this true. I know its four stroke, but does that mean there is no carb. Onlt ever had two stroke Vespa's and Lambretta's before.

Fuel injection replaces the carb... Cool

You can get carburetted 4 strokes like the GT, but the GTS is injected Idea

Even the new GTS125s are coming with fuel injection now... makes a huge improvement in driveability, and even power output.

Here's what your fuel injection unit looks like, pretty similar in loos to a carb and on some modern bikes they are built to look identical to carbs (fuel injected Triumph Thruxton for instance). They're not as scary as they look either, takes 5 minutes to remove and replace one...downside is they cost about £500!

Thats actually the throttle body which a piggyback ECU.... fuel goes nowhere near it Laughing .... but thats the bit that sits where the carb would be, so close enough for this purpose i guess Very Happy
