After removing headset cover and loosening bolt to adjust handlebars several times to correct position, the last time I adjusted it without loosening the bolt after reading elsewhere this was how it could be done. I had tightened the bolt up with a torque wrench to 45 pounds which felt very tight. My question is, " should I have been able to adjust handlebars if the nut is correctly tightened ?" |

When its done up tight, youll be able to force the bars sideways a little, they shouldnt move easily though... should take a good thump. |

Did take a bit of effort to move just a tweek. Didn't know if they are designed to move under force when involved in a accident maybe. |
