under the black cover on the left hand side( glovebox) you.ll find a block of cables. the live one in my case was red/blue. its protected by a 10 amp fuse( part of the piaggio immobiliser .fuel gauge lot)run a cable from the lighter ( ive put mine on the left hand indicator screw) thats your earth.and the other cable from the lighter to the red/ blue (live). they cost around £4.99 from motor world/halfords.. tried it out this aft . travel kettle/ phone charger/ n pump (for airbeds) ,you must remember to disconnect anything you.ve had on charge whilst travelling. becouse its live it will just drain your battery. but up to now its working fine . Laughing if this proves to be a mess i disclaim everything i.ve said Laughing but it works. well up to now anyway,an if i,ve forgoton anything. no doubt some smart alec will put me right

I don't know the electrical power output of the Gts, but in my experience of running electricals on px's and my motorbike, a sat nav shouldn't be a problem. The charging circuit will top up the battery after each start and there should be sufficient power to run all other electrical devices simultaneously. Didn't someone mention an intercom system, which presumably you aren't running? The sat nav could just use the power that was intended for that.

If you're at all worried about it, leave the sat nav off until the services before the area you're not familiar with. Starting out with a fully charged battery wouldn't hurt either, if you can do it over night a few days before you go.
