|
|
I have high speed vibrations in the front end of my GTS. Anything over 110 kph and it shakes quite good with a high frequency. My dealer told me I had run out in both directions on my front wheel (side to side and out of round). A new wheel is to be ordered under warranty. Am I going to destroy the front end by running it as is? I have one fairly long trip (500 miles return) of highway riding down to Amerivespa in Seattle. I'd rather not miss the event, but I don't want to destroy my beloved GTS either.
Thanks in advance

You may shorten the life of the wheel bearing is all, no big deal.
If it were mine I would go.

I talked to the dealer this morning and a new wheel is being ordered. They said to ride the crap out of it! Yee Haaaaa!

Got my new wheel along with new Michelin Sport Pilots front and rear. I balanced my own wheels using a Marc Parnes wheel balancer. Unbelievable the difference! Smooth, smooth, smooth! I'm very happy. I swear the shops that put on scooter tires randomly put weights on the wheels to make it look like they actually did something.

You are obviously on the side of the side of the Atlantic Ocean that understands scooters and scooter riders.

Are you going to Mersea Trev? It'll be riding it down and sticking it on the dyno If you fancy a dyno shoot out? _________________
