I have fitted a Malossi 210 to my GT125 and under deceleration, well almost as you come back to idle,it goes POP, POP! Is this a significant sign?
Seems to have more torque but I am not sure about top end, might have lost a bit there...... |

I get that with my PM pipe. Worse when the engine is cold. If you don't like it, the solution is to close the throttle slowly. At least, that works for the PM.
So how does the 210 perform? Faster than a GT200? Competing with GTS250s? Of course, your gearing is different, and you may need a gear-up kit to get more top speed.

What carb you running?
We convert the stock 125 carb to 200 spec (4 parts I think) but this has become more complicated by the change in carb supplier to piaggio.
Anyway the popping is to do with petrol/air mixture.
A leeky exhaust will change this, so will a split inlet manifold but the usual cause is a carb that's not set up right. _________________ Creator of the fastest VESPA GTS in the world!....(until proven otherwise!) |
