Does anyone have any experience trouble shooting the fuel level gage? When the tank is full the gage reads a bit over half. The reads empty and the light comes on when it has 1.25 gallons in it.

Yes, I had exactly the same problem. My 2006 GTS, purchased new in June 2007, had the fuel tank sensor/ sender replaced under warranty. Problem solved.

BTW, when the key was turned to the 'on' position, the gauge showed all the grey bars, so we knew the digital gauge was workiing.

Should be a fairly easy replacment if you have to buy the part and do the work yourself.

Yeah sounds most like the sender unit is faulty.
