hi i have seen a clutch tool on the jettin site and would like to know if you need this or can you use an impact gun like on the runners and dags

You can just hold the rear brake on. If you can turn the back wheel with the brake applied a wedge under the tire as shown below works well.



You do need a tool to properly torque the variator nut though. you can either buy a very expensive one or make one out of a variator half as shown below:

i take that the 2 lugs fit into the holes on the variator and the big one stops against the casing,

is that the proper workshop tool

that tool looks like the sort of thing the GTS OWNERS CLUB should invest in and lend out to members on a full cost deposit basis.... ie:- if you wanted to borrow it you'd pay the club the cost of the tool plus postage, use it then return it and get your deposit back minus a few quid that would go towards the cost of the tool in the first place, it would soon be paid for i'm sure Cool
