Had a strange situation where the scoot would fire up but as soon as I sat on the seat it cut out. Anyway couldnt make sense of it so had it collected by Piaggioassist and taken to Metropolis at Vauxhall. Their diagnosis was that the ht cable had got pinched and come out of the coil. They had fixed it they said. So I picked up the scoot and drove off. Less than half a mile away it conked out. Same thing put it on the stand it runs sit on it it stops. Well too late and too far to push back to Metropolis so I called out the recovery people again. Well the chap had a good look at the problem and finds that the ht lead had burnt through to metal as it had been resting on the exhaust. As a result when I sat on the scoot the lead shorted on the metal. Just got the scoot back from Metropolis apparently with a new ht lead.
Am I being unreasonable but shouldnt Metropolis:
a) have worked out the lead had burnt through and was causing the problem
b) taken the scoot for a test ride which would have left them stranded and not me
I'm inclined to never used them again but have to go back collect the plastic underseat container and my u lock which the mechanic forgot to put back.

unlucky m8 they are not proper SCOOTER dealers in that sense intrested in sales and crap service , you go to a proper old style scooter shop you wont hopefully get this....you are not the first or the last regarding this lot, ive yet to hear anything positive from them. _________________ GTS OWNERS CLUB

I'm not surprised, they seem to have thousands of bikes to service but they clearly dont give a sh1t. You only have to see how the park the bikes so close together and bash them about. Scoot comes back covered in their oily mits as well. I wouldnt trust them with a tin of beans and a tin opener. I will definitely use a scooter specialist - just have to make sure that I dont jeopardise the warranty.

I definitely wont be using those monkeys again but need to find someone else in the South/City/East London area. Can anyone make a suggestion - the only thing is they have to be Vespa approved for warranty work.
