|
|
Hi Everyone
I'm in the process of buying a GTS 250 and have been trawling the posts for useful information. The scooter is a 2005 model in Silver with a PM Exhaust and Tuning box fitted. I'm sure these are nice enhancements but not too sure if I want the extra noise.
The scooter is in Southern England and I'll be picking it up and riding it to Barcelona - not the best time of year to do this but... I'm thinking about adding a front rack to help me carry a bit more and spread the load to keep the handling even. Has anyone fitted the front rack? How is it attached and can it be removed without causing damage?
Cheers

Hi Alex and welcome
Can't help you really with the front rack question as I've never fitted one s I've found you can carry loads under the seat and on the rear rack as it is.
Personally I'd keep it standard but no doubt the guys on here would say otherwise

wouldn't use a front rack, too much wind resistance and loss of speed plus i have seen some damage from fitting front racks to a GTs, wether this is from incorrect fitting or not i can't say but it's enough to put me off.
i find the rear rack, the luggage hook with a bag on stting on the battery cover mat in the centre of the floor, the underseat storage area and a bag on the passanger seat secured with a luggage net plenty of capacity _________________

Thanks. I agree about the looks - that's why I'd want to be able to easily remove it. I hadn't thought about the wind resistance! |
