DONT DO IT
the floor mat will ruin the paint underneath
i had one fitted at the dealers after the ride home ,40 miles
it was scratched all in between the runners
after seeing the previous owner dragging his shoes to clean the
soles before putting his feet up
and knowing how clean it was why spoil it
but if you want to fit it ,yes the outside rubbers need to be pulled out
i cant wait to tell him Twisted Evil

Saying that, without the floor mat, I have noticed on the bridge piece, the paint has rubbed off where my heels have been rubbing the sides. I suppose it's a case of, if you want one fit one!
