thats the gts 250ie sorted as recomended nice black 55 plate 3000 miles
now anyone know of an pm exhaust for sale and do i need the electronic box that pm sell as well or bolt on and the computers does all the work???? sorry! know all this stuff about 2 stroke.

no need for the electronic box of tricks, some use it but it's not essential.

this may be of help:-

GTs pipe install

use this:-



you can get it from halfords, it's the highest temp sealant out there.

i disconnected my battery during the installation then re-connected it started the scooter up and let it run for 10 mins to allow the brain to reset itself. not had a problem since, no backfires.
re-check all the nuts and bolts after 50miles to check everything is tickety boo Cool

when yo uupgrade the pipe like that, do you have to remap the computer?

no, the ECU analysis the exhaust gas all the time thru the lamba sensor mounted in the exhaust downpipe and changes the fuel air mixture to suit, as long as any changes required are within the capabilities of the throttle body then it does it itself, if not then the scooter shuts itself down, turns on the engine management warning light and gives a warning code ready to be downloaded when plugged into a service computer.

all i did when i fitted my PM was to disconnect the battery, fitted the PM, re-connected the battery then started the scooter and let it idle for a good 10 mins. SORTED Cool
