just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.
this weekend i traded in my buddy 125 for a new gts 250ie
the buddy was a great scooter that was very reliable. just getting a little too small for me.
love the new vespa, i demo'd a 200 last year and liked it.
this 250 has got to be the cadillac of scooters.
it has about 25 miles on it at present, i have three motorcycles (british). and have done the initial break in on all of them.
anybody have any suggestions on the best way to break in this new vespa? the dealer gave me some tips, and i have read the manual.
thanks, rich. _________________ "the world belongs to the energetic" |

Welcome rich..... good bunch of lads on here
breaking in the gts......some say thrash it from day one.....
with my new one earlier in the year i didnt go above 70 mph for the full 1000 km....
always sat at about 80- 85 mph after that but wasnt the fastest gts about by a long way....
thats why i ended up with the maxiscoot ....
albeit i have a yearning for another gts ....when funds allow..... _________________

hello & welcome
wouldn't worry too much about running it in, just don't hold it full throttle for the whole tank, up and down the revs and jobs a good 'un _________________
