Hi, my GTS starts fine but dies after a couple of seconds. I have to keep the throttle slightly open until it's warmed up which is a pain without a manual clutch. Any ideas?

Another candidate that needs the ECU remap to the latest software, which is designed to prevent idle issues and stalling Wink

Get it done and report back. Very Happy

Piaggio dont state a price for it to be done, so its upto the dealers to charge if they want, and by how much... Most will do it free though.... well hopefully.

Mine does this too - is it a known issue to be worried about? It's only 6 months old and the ecu is already out of date?? Is this a flawed piece of kit or what??? Mad
You really think my dealer is going to entertain this issue?

Piaggio constantly develop the software used on the machines, and as such update it as and when its improved.

After a few reported GTS stalls and idle issues theyve changed the software to cure the problems and issued it to dealers to use on machines.

If ya dealer doesnt know about it tell them to read the Nov07 communications from Piaggio and theres a Memo about it Wink

It covers all models of machine with the 250 engine from MP3s to GTS's...

On here being a Vespa club the only one youll need is:

Software update 1224GA95 GTS and GTV models.
