Well the time has come again 13000 miles due for a new belt and oil change,im very happy with the Polini variator and Dr pulley weights at the present and PM pipe is sweet, so what belt choice ????? using Malossi one at mo thinking of going back to piaggio one???

comments please?? Phil's wot u using ?? Wink

ive gone back to a standard belt
for some reason ,which i cant explain
i didnt rate the malossi one
and seeing how quick the big girl Very Happy goes through them
i am glad i changed back

I would always use a genuine as i dont think theres any better... and you can get genuine ones at good prices nowadays. Wink

Still on malossi for me but only cos i got em cheap off Russ when he sold up, going back to standard after tho, they don't last long enough as said. Still convinced they give you a couple or three mph over the std but who give a toss when they last half the time.

Trying to take all this on board, how long should a belt and rollers last? I've got 2000miles on the clock now when would they be due a change?

As I'm used to the theory if it aint broke dont touch it mentality used on lambrettas, I guess I should change my approach to autos Wink

On the 250 motor piaggio recommend a belt change every 15000km (9375miles)
