My exhaust is still rust free, its done 5000mls from last march, but I only use it for scootering, ie its no good for work, Im working out of a van, so if its crap outside and nowhere to head for, it doesnt go out, road salt in winter kills em doesnt it. Ps its never been re called for the exhaust, though my mates {6months older} has been, the local agents said they changed em at the factory?

mine went rusty before the first service!! but i hated it cos i couldnt bloody hear it! I am a firm believer of noisy exhusts saves lives! so I got a nice stainless leo pipe and yay I can hear it while riding!!!

I'm the opposite - I often dream of learning to drive, buying a 4x4 and then running over the irritating fuckers who drive past my flat at 2am in the morning with what sounds like a mechanical digger strapped to their bike... Wink

Seriously, I dont think the exhaust is that quiet, compared to a sports exhaust then yes, but there are quieter ones out there....(or maybe my gasket has gone again? Wink

well there is an answer there!! live somewhere quieter lol no seriously, if everybody has vehicles that were quiet, then you loose one of the senses ie hearing, remember the green cross code????

I think the standard is very quiet even compared to other standard exhausts, I cant even hear it myself while wearing a crash hat!

someone needs to buy a vectrix. Wink

blipping the throttle at the lights tells the car driver that your not an average ped and he'll get hammerd if he tries to smoke you.

with the standard pipe people used to try and race me at the lights for some bizzare reason.

had to do a google search to find what a vectrix was yer bar steward! Smile

I generally move in front of the cars at the lights in london to let them know who's going first - if they dont get the message then they never will!

those vectrix's are supposed to be blisteringly fast off the line. and uber silent!!

the blip of the throttle shows them who's boss. in london drivers are used to scooters getting away at the lights first. here fast scooters are as rare as hens teeth.

they see a scoot pull up beside at the lights and think *oh its only a mo-ped i'll leave this dick for dead* the blip of the throttle with a pm pipe on gives a sort of warning that theyre gonna get whupped if they try.

and a gts will out accellerate ANY front wheel drive car to 40mph. they always spin the wheels and always have silly exhausts boxes attatched.

i always whup cars off the mark at the lights if they try it out. its funny. especially when theres 4 chavs in the car laughing at you because your on a scooter and they think your slow.

now i've gotta tune my scoot so i can wheelie it while laughing at them. Wink
