Brothers GT200 died on him twice on the way into work this morning.
At lunch time it started ok then spluttered and died.
Seems like fuel starvation but we are mechanical numpties so any ideas welcome. |

Have you checked the obvious first?
Spark Plug - when was last time it was changed?
HT Lead is it tight fitting
Was his tank nearly empty? may have sucked in shitty fuel? or had he recently bought fresh fuel - may have been shitty?
Would consider all these first before delving in too deep....I'm no expert but these are things I'd check first. the lads on here will have more advice I'm sure

How many miles has it done, and when did it last have its valve clearances done
Always do the valves regularly on these engines or they have a habit of valve failure which makes a right mess |

Haywards Cambridge picked it up yesterday and they think it just needs a new HT lead (£12.00).
It's in for an annual service anyway so it will get sorted one way or another. |
