I am also waiting for that decibel killer. But my PM62 is the early model with the small downward-curved outlet pipe, so not sure whether there will be problems fitting it. Might have to replace the tail end of the exhaust too. But the new one looks much nicer.

Exup was an exhaust powervalve fitted to yamaha bike in the late 80's. It's a powervalve that constantly adjusts the internal diameter of the exhaust to match the engine revs. This was fitted to the FZR1000R, aptly named the 'widow maker' _________________

Yes indeed... EXUP is an exhaust valve to alter the gas flow depending on engine speed... nearly all sports bikes have them nowadays. |

That one's a little different, that's a two stroke power valve, the yamaha version was called the YPVS, it was fitted to bikes like the RD350lc and the RGV250. It alters the exhaust port timing.
The EXUP valve is designed for 4 strokes.

_________________
