Well I've had the GTS for a whole day and a half and loving it! I've noticed that if I go over a hard bump or when folding the passenger foot pegs back in and letting them bang into place it affects the engine, sometimes even causing it to cut out! It's worse when folding in the near side (drive side) peg in. If I tap that side of the frame hard enough it also happens. What could it be?

Sounds like a loose connection or the plug cap is not on properly, I know that sounds obvious, but that plug lead looks like its secure but isnt sometimes.

Checked plug cap, doesn't seem to be that, can't even get the bugger off! Could it be related to the cdi? I had a look under the battery thinking it could be a loose terminal connection and saw that that is where it is hidden away not too far from the offending foot peg?

I don't know what earths to check!

have you checked the ht lead is in the plug cap properly as mine came out of the cap, the caps are tight and need a good pull to get them off

I can't get the plug cap off to check! and can't get to the coil end either, can see it when battery out though!
I'm taking the scooter into the local Piaggio dealers tomorrow, they think it's a short on the side stand switch wire.
This is where you miss the old 2 stroke and all its familiar parts! It's like starting all over again except you're not restricted to 30mph! Laughing

Like I said it's all new to me again, all fixed now anyway, a wire had come out of a terminal somewhere around that region! Goes like the clappers again now, game on! Ready for Newquay this weekend.
