Just collected Gts from dealer on its service. Bike has Pm pipe and electronic gizmo. Now having problems starting tho never did before the dealer got mits on it. It needs the starter holding on for a while then a fistful of accelerator and even then I need to rev it for a minute or two before it will tick over correctly or it will just cut out.
Dealer says they didnt get involved in the tuning parts at all and just ignored any diagnostic readouts that would have thrown up because of the pipe etc.
Also turned the key this morning and no power showing in the clocks, lights but then repeated it and everything ok again!
Wots goin on????

Is it the PM Tuning Fuel Injection Module kit that plugs into the scooter EFI......Or the one of Motorsport.....

The dealer needs set this up if you have asked him or else the pulse widths / Main jet / fuel enrichment Will be all tits up.......

And it will run like a bag of spanners....

I sounds like this has happend if you need to push fuel though to help it start.....

Regards Mark....

sounds like the dealer serviced it and set it up "according to the book" and as castlebarber says the module needs different settings.

So is the best advice here to disconect the EFI module thingy before letting the dealer get his mits on it?

Only asking as I have one on it's way from Motorsports.com Wink

Yes just to confirm that its the PM fuel module. it was already set up for the pipe etc so just plug & go. As i said it has all worked fine before this supposedly standard service and they say they have just left it alone but something has changed.

Theres not much the dealer can have done to alter the PM box... Did they update the bikes ECU with the new software from Piaggio... if so ignore the dodgy running for the 1st 30miles as they do run like a dog until the ECU has relearnt whats going on...
