Get yourself another key or 2 ASAP !!!!!. You can get these cut and cloned by your local locksmith as per the info on this thread. Loose your current key and you are in BIG trouble. |

My battery had also gone flat but mine started 3rd time after putting battery charger on it.....and starting it up whilst batter charger switched on.......your battery may not be holding the charge????

Battery going flat wont make any difference, the CDIs are coded from the factory on a new bike and they arrive with no battery fitted... and have been that way for months
As for the coding, its still not coded by the sounds of it.
Keep trying, its a knack more than anything, timing is super critical.
Try doing it more than once without checking each time so...
Red key, blue key, red key, blue key, red key, blue key then red key and hope one of the 3 times it coded it.
Once youve tried coding the keys, leave it 30 secs before using it so the immobilizer rearms, then try the key and youll know if it works or not.
Dont be disheartened even though it gets frustrating, ive done millions but theres still some i do that takes 20 attempts before it works. |
