Hello all,
Thanks again for the warm welcome!!
Well I've just been to the dealer's to test ride a 250 GTS, I thought It would be really different to a Vespa or Lambretta... the first impression was that it is a lot of fun!! and the riding position is not unsimilar to a P range, the next thing was the stability and confidence it inspires; I felt immediately at ease (the salesman was probably right, he said: if you can ride a traditional vespa you can ride anything).
It felt fairly nimble and the handling and braking was spot on (although I kept fishing around the floorboards for a rear brake pedal).
I'm back there after work tomorrow to put a deposit on the bike (White GTS) and negotiate the price with the boss.... the only thing left to do now is get rid of the bad conscience over the TV175 and Rally 200 that won't get to be restored (this winter!) 'cause of the GTS!!

Hello all,
Well I don't know about only coming out at night, but I definitely post on here late in the evening
The silly nick is from Dracula AD 1972, one of Hammer's poorer attemps, which by the way is one of their funnier movies (Dracula feeds off a group of hippies in 1972...).
I wouldn't want you all thinking I was some kind of Goth
regards,
Mick |
