The 300 has not been out that long and the suspension is set up in a different manner so lets not assume ! but thanks for the tip but you must be referring to a 250 event? _________________ Vespa 300 super BSA Bantam, pushbike |

i think what the other folks are trying to say is,they all do it the 250gts and the 300gts......i have put some heavy bar ends on mine.....im unsure how much it helps......ive not noticed much of a wobble to be honest oh and mine is the 300 gts! _________________

I have the heavy bar ends too ,the wobble is hands off at about 5 mph. They do handle well though dont they . I had an X9 500 before and its handling would have been better with vespa type front suspension IMHO . _________________ Vespa 300 super BSA Bantam, pushbike |

Maybe that's why I keep falling off ! what tobacco is best at 60mph and do you use an open face or have you drilled a fag hole in the helmet _________________ Vespa 300 super BSA Bantam, pushbike |

I find your response confusing as I have not mentioned this low speed handling item previously, if however you find the post irritating in some way may I suggest not reading any more of my posts |

I'll assume that they didn't make a different frame, forks, handlebar, hub etc, than the 250 cos the scoots are still being made alongside the 300.
Finally some subjects have been done to death, reanimated and done to death again, so please try a search next time. _________________

Sorry to bring this up but it now seems the three hundred has a longer wheelbase ( subject to confirmation) as well as longer rear shockers? _________________ Vespa 300 super BSA Bantam, pushbike |

then how can this be?? darklord wrote: | ...............it now seems the three hundred has a longer wheelbase ( subject to confirmation) as well as longer rear shockers? |
250 and 300 are the same essentially, shocks may well be a tad harder and there are a few cosmetic changes here and there, but to all intents and purposes they are the same scooter, safe to assume handling therefore will be similar if not the same, maybe the harder shocks have ironed out the "headshake" some 250's suffer from, maybe it hasn't
my view on the matter.....
headshake most likely caused by:-
wheel or wheels out of balance or rim out of true
incorrect tyre pressure on one or both tyres
loose steering head bearings
bar end weights too light (std bar ends with luggage or top box on)
scooter badly loaded
i've had the last one, all the gear for a weeks tour on the back, decelerating on a motorway off ramp, bars shaking like a bas*ard around 30mph, not pleasant, unloaded, couldn't get it to do it _________________
